Foliage Faces
After drawing and painting many human faces and forms, I decided to try “drawing” with sticks, leaves and flower petals.
Sometimes, the faces are playful, fanciful images from my imagination — Tree Spirits, Faeries, Jesters, and characters from Myths or Legends.
Other times, I try to capture the essence of a truly remarkable, real-life person — Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Frederick Douglass, John Lewis, Judith Jamison, Arundhati Roy, and Ada Limón among them.
